Global 市场营销 & 沟通 in Italy

Due to Italian government regulations regarding students under the age of 18, we are unable to offer the Italy Summer Pre-College program in 2018. We are exploring our options for 2019 and beyond. This regulation does not impact students over the age of 18 in Marist's four-year degree programs or the Freshman Florence Experience. An introduction to 沟通 and 市场营销, this survey course examines 沟通, 市场营销, and relevant theories in a variety of contexts. Taking their basic knowledge of 沟通 and 市场营销, students will apply their understanding of the process, 函数, and effects of said fields in a global context. Utilizing the 文化ly rich environment of Florence, students will explore some basic similarities and/or differences in the communication of different cultures.

The Marist Summer 沟通 Pre-College Program - offered in partnership with Istituto Lorenzo de'Medici - is designed for talented high school students who are interested in increasing their knowledge and understanding of 沟通 and 市场营销. This course will be taught within a 文化 context that will help students to become familiar with a basic understanding of communication marketing from a 文化 comparative lens.

By the end of this course students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the history of and theories from which the communication and marketing disciplines are based.
  • Understand a baseline of information about communication and marketing that is further explored in college-level courses, including the areas of verbal and nonverbal communication, 人际关系, 集团, 文化, 质量, marketing and organizational communication.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the application of the study of human communication to everyday situations, both personal and professional.
