What made you choose Marist?
I chose Marist because it had everything I wanted in a college. Most of the students live on campus, so it has an amazing community feeling. The classes are small, so all of my professors know me by name and say hello to me on campus. 和, it's close to 纽约 City, which was important to me because I love NYC and it has so many journalism opportunities.

How did you choose your major?
Writing has always been something I always found a way to do, whether it was writing in diaries or starting a blog. It's my one thing that I'm good at that also makes me happy. I had originally been toying with the idea of being an education major, but I realized writing also allows for me to make a difference but in a way that I'm best at. I love the idea that if you do something you love as a career, you'll never work a day in your life. That's exactly why I chose Journalism.

What internships have you done?
Freshman year, I was an editorial intern for CollegeFashion.网. 然后, the summer after I was the editorial and social media intern at HauteSpotter, 一个美人, 时尚, and pop culture website. After that, I was the social media and marketing intern at Plum Perfect, 一个美人 app. This past summer I had an internship as the editorial assistant at Credit.com. They've all been in NYC.

How has Marist prepared you for life after graduation?
Marist has helped me build a strong support system of professors and friends. It's also brought out the go-getter side of me and its curriculum has allowed me to take so many elective courses where I discovered new subjects and issues 我所做的n't even know I had an interest in. I feel like I've definitely got a better idea of who I am and what career path I want to take.

Did you study abroad? What was that program/experience like?
我所做的. I went on a short-term abroad trip as part of the Shakespeare in London attachment. We visited London and Stratford-upon-Avon. It was so amazing to see a new part of the world and I was so excited to try new foods and to take all of the awesome Instagrams, 当然!

Do you have any advice for high school juniors or seniors considering Marist?
College becomes your home away from home so when you're choosing a college, look at everything. Look at the courses, the campus, the students. If you can see yourself there and it makes you feel at home, say yes. bet亚洲365欢迎投注 has become my second home for four years and I know I made the right choice.
